How to Make Money Online

Results Are In

Nearly 5 months ago I started investigating whether it’s possible to make 100.00 a day using all those apps that Youtube are telling everyone about. This also included surveys and reward programs.

The answer Yes and No.

If you devote an enormous amount of time to the surveys and competitions, and are prepared to get random texts and spam from just about everyone in the universe, then you can make 100.00 a day on these things. But the same use of time can give you better results doing other things.

With regards to those money apps – there are people jail breaking mobile phones and letting them go through these things automatically and having them run in the background all day. Generally you get 0.10c a view. This is a neat trick and probably worth investigating but again, have a dedicated email account and phone number that you don’t mind getting trashed with spam because there will be thousands of emails and texts.

These things are targeted at the desperate and also stay at home parents looking to make some extra money while they have a bit of time on their hands.

There are, in my view, literally hundreds of other ways you could use this time to make more money for the time spent, like starting a blog, making craft and selling it, becoming a virtual assistant, hitting up Airtasker or UpWork. I’ll write more about crafts in another post because that is something I can write about all day long and I have a lot of thoughts on this subject in terms of how to make a successful business, but again the issue will be consistency and regularity.

But, to be fair, having said all that, I did try all these things and didn’t make any money either. These ideas also came from my search of how to make 100.00 a day.

I did get some virtual assistant work and am pursuing this line of income with rigour as it has potential to solve my insolvency, but at the same time, it’s a really bad time of year to be trying to get new clients so I don’t see this panning out anytime soon. For now it’s enough to keep the phone and electricity on but that’s about it.

They key really is consistency of income. You might get lucky and get a gig here and there – which I did and made about 20.00 all up. It’s 20.00 so I’m not going to snuff at at, but at the same time, it’s not regular consistent pay the rent income. If I had a job that was doing that then maybe I would do it on the side, but it’s not going to save your ass from hitting the curb anytime soon.

One area I’ve been looking at closely is retail arbitrage and flipping which is big in USA but I’m not sure if Australia has such a high demand for it. But for my next exercise this is what I’m going to be going into and seeing if it’s possible to make a regular decent living from it, while I continue to search for either a job or a client that will basically pay my rent and food.

So if you have a few extra hours, enjoy answering surveys and don’t want to commit to anything for the time being, then surveys could be a way to make some extra cash, but it’s a lot of work for little return so you’ll be doing it for about 8 hours a day to see real returns.
